SHELTER, Inc. offers rent subsidies and case management services for homeless Contra Costa residents who:
• Have a dual diagnosis of mental health and chronic substance abuse
• Have chronic substance abuse problems
If you are receiving services from a county or nonprofit agency, please contact your case worker for an expedited referral.
Homeless adults diagnosed with a mental illness live in community-shared apartments and pay 30% of their gross monthly income towards rent.
Homeless young adults diagnosed with a mental illness live in a private room with shared bath, kitchen, and living room.
One-bedroom units for low-income person(s).
One and two-bedroom units for low-income person(s).
Five one-bedroom units for low-income person(s).
One-bedroom and studio apartments for low and very low-income individuals and families.
